More fun news...

As reported in MetaFilter...

Black Box Voting has completed their analysis of log files from Palm Beach (FL) county voting machines stemming from the Nov 2004 general election. You know it's not good news when the article starts with: The internal logs of at least 40 Sequoia touch-screen voting machines reveal that votes were time and date-stamped as cast two weeks before the election, sometimes in the middle of the night.

This was noted in the voting logs of Volusia county machines as well.

Goodnight, America...

I started reading the actual log files... as far as I can tell, it doesn't look like the numbers were manipulated to benefit a specific candidate. It does look like the company is totally inept, and isn't qualified to count jellybeans.

Oh, no doubt. I don't know that they specifically weighted the results towards Bush or not, I just know that they're incompetnent fucktards whose machines are far too open to manipulation. The fact that Diebold is a heavy GOP contributor though does worry me, admittedly...
